December 18, was decided relocation schedule of Tokyo Tsukiji market. New markets will open in TOYOSU in November 2016.
"TSUKIJI" is a popular tourist spot among foreigners. There is a wholesale market of seafood and fruits and vegetables. Sales start was in 1935. Currently, trading scale is top in the world.
The current facilities are aging. Work space is also missing. For this reason, new market is expected to be built in a remote location about 2Km south. TOYOSU is landfill in Tokyo Bay.
