December 9, YANO research (Yano Research Institute) has announced the findings on "otaku" market of Japan. According to this survey, market size of "Idol," "Vocaloid", "toy gun" has been expanded by about 20%.

People that are seems geek from their own or others was 23%. 67% of the nerd was the unmarried. Compared to each field, the top of the per capita expenditure was "idle". They were spending the ¥ 94,738 per year.
