JAL has established a scholarship to the pilot students

Cockpit

Japan Airlines has announced that it will start a new scholarship program from 2015. Target is a student who studied at the pilot course of private universities. The amount of scholarship is the largest per capita about 5 million yen (four years).

JAL is expected to select about 30 people every year. There is no obligation to work for JAL to scholarship. The company has said, "JAL will support students to challenge the pilot to the future of Japan's wing."

The aim of the JAL is elimination of the shortage pilot. This year, part of Japan's low-cost carrier was forced to canceled by the lack pilot. Demand to the pilot is expanding worldwide. In Japan, it is expected that a lot of veteran pilots retire. Pilot shortage will likely become more and more serious.

However, the scale of Japan's Air Force is inferior compared to other developed countries. Therefore, expectations for the pilot program of private universities is growing.
